Lush Wishlist || July 2012

Hey Girls,

So if you read my last blog post then you know it was The Body Shop wish list, now I am writing one for Lush. This blog post will defiantly not have as many items as The Body Shop but I thought it was worth sharing just because I never shop at these sort of expensive body shops. Some of the things at Lush look amazing but since I don't have a bath, quite a lot of the products can not be used by me.

1. Bubblegum Lip Scrub
Price: $9.95AUD

This is what the Lush website says about the product:
Our fabulous lip scrubs are here to keep your kissers sweet. This one will make your lips smell like our best-selling Snow Fairy shower gel. Bubblegum is made with exfoliating castor sugar and our delicious vegan flavour to gently scrub away rough skin, keeping your lips smooth and kissably soft. Simply rub it over your lips when they feel the need for some sugar.

I need to start exfoliating my lips and Lush was the only place I could find a lip scrub.

2. Rub Rub Rub 250g
Price: $14.95AUD

This is what the Lush Website says about the product:
Rub Rub Rub is a bit of a variation on the normal shower gel. Sea salt is gently exfoliating, extra cleansing and mineral-rich. After scrubbing, it dissolves in water, leaving your plughole free of blockages. This new blue scrub is startlingly refreshing, with a dash of lemon juice and the tropical scent of mimosa blossom. Just hop in the shower and rub, rub, rub!

I want the Rub Rub Rub product because I want to exfoliate my legs after shaving because I have a large amount of bumps on my legs from ingrown hairs.

So there is my Lush wish list, only 2 things. I want a really moisturising body lotion but they are around $30 and I am defiantly not going to spend that much.

Leave me a comment below saying what you Lush wish list is.

Love you girls!

The Body Shop Wish List || July 2012

Hey Girls,

So today I was looking for some good body products to buy since I never really splurge on things like that. I have never tried anything from The Body Shop because I personally think that some of the products are over priced. That's also a reason why I don't shop at Lush because of the price even though some of the products look quite nice.

I know I did a wish list a few days ago but I thought The body Shop deserved its own blog post since it is not exactly makeup but skincare. Well that's my justification for this blog post anyway.

There is a high chance that I will probably never buy these products because of the price and I hardly get shifts at work to afford things like this, but one day maybe.

1. Strawberry Body Polish
Price: $16.95AUD

My Mum got this from a Body Shop party that she went to a while ago and I smelt it and fell in love. I tried a little bit of it on my hand and it made my hand really smooth. Since the product is hers, I can't use so therefore I need my own Strawberry Body Polish.

This is what The Body Shop website has to say about the product:
Have good, clean fun and smooth skin at the same time thanks to this fragrance foaming gel-based scrub that's gentle enough to use everyday.
  • Gently exfoliates
  • Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
  • Sweet strawberry scent
Skincare
I saw on the website that you can take a skincare diagnostic and see what products would best work on your type of skin. You can take the test here: http://114.141.198.239/SkinCareDiagnostic/FrontPage.html

I took the test and because I have problems with pimples, the option that suited me the most was the Tea Tree Skincare Line. I am trying to find products that work on fully clearing up my skin and if paying more for good skincare products work, I am happy to pay the money.

2. Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash
Price: $17.95AUD

This is what The Body Shop website has to say about the product:
Cleansing gel-based facial wash, suitable for everyday use to help prevent blemishes, removing excess oil without over drying the skin.

  • Removes excess oil without over-drying skin
  • Helps remove impurities
  • Clinically proven to give clearer-looking skin

  • 3. Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner
    Price: $16.95 AUD

This is what The Body Shop website has to say about the product:
This innovative new 'shake to activate' toner removes traces of cleanser, make-up and impurities with triple blend of natural active ingredients that leaves the skin clean, refreshed and helps to prevent blemishes.

  • Removes traces of make-up, cleanser and impurities
  • Mattifying powders leave skin shine-free
  • Clinically proven to give clearer-looking skin

  • 4. Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion
    Price: $17.95AUD

This is what The Body Shop website has to say about the product:
A light, moisturising non-oily lotion that sinks into the skin to provide lightweight hydration and oil control while helping to prevent blemishes with regular use.

  • Provides lightweight hydration
  • Easily absorbed
  • With shine control for a matte finish
  • Antibacterial action
  • Clinically proven to give clearer-looking skin

  • 5. Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash
    Price: $18.95AUD

This is what The Body Shop website has to say about the product:
This innovative new, creamy face wash is specially formulated to unclog pores by gently removing trapped dirt, oil and dead skin cells. Regular use helps to prevent breakouts and keep skin blemish free.

  • Gently exfoliates
  • Removes trapped dirt, oil and dead skin cells
  • Leaves skin feeling clean
  • Clinically proven to give clearer-looking skin

  • 6. Tea Tree Oil
    Price: $9.95AUD

This is what The Body Shop website has to say about the product:
A natural, targeted solution to help clear and soothe blemishes quickly without over drying the skin.
    • Soothing
    • Has antibacterial properties
    • Does not dry out skin
I saw in a Body Shop catalogue I have at home that you can get a Tea Tree Skin Care Kit but can not find it on line. The catalogue say this:

    Tea Tree Skin Care Kit
Combat breakouts and tackle excess oil with these travel-friendly Tea Tree Favourites Facial Wash, Clearing Toner, Exfoliating Wash, Oil and Mesh Bag.
    Price: $54.00AUD

I would try the kit because you get every product I want expect the lotion in a cute little travel bag with cute little travel sizes.

So there is my Body Shop products I really want to try. A lot of products I know, but the Tea Tree Skincare line is something I really want to try at this very moment. This is defiantly a skincare line I can see myself buying in the future. Maybe I shall save up my money and buy the travel kit to see if it works first.

Well thank you for reading my blog and leave me a comment on products you would like to try from The Body Shop.

    Love you girls!

    Wish List || July 2012

    Hey Girls,

So there are so many makeup products that I want to get. I thought I would share with you some of the products I am dying to try. I will probably try to do a wish list every month, depending on if I actually have any new products I want to buy. Since Australian makeup is way over priced I try to research products before actually spending money on them.

I will put 5 of the items I want to buy in the wish list post each month. If you want to know anymore information about these products feel free to let me know.

    1. Too Faced Brow Envy Shaping & Defining Kit
Price: Not quite sure of the price cause the price changes everyday
    Where to buy: http://www.beautybay.com/

I have seen this quite a fair bit on You Tube and I thought that it looked really interesting. I have never tried filling in my eyebrows but seeing people on you tube do it, really pulls a makeup look together and frames the face. Considering I have never done anything with my eyebrows and now wanting to go and spend around $40 on them is a little crazy but probably will give into temptation. Sigma also has an eyebrow kit coming out at the end of July so I might wait until then to see which one I really want.

    2. Face of Australia Face Base Primer 3 in 1 SPF
    RRP: $11.95AUD
Where to buy: Priceline, Kmart and Big W

I have never used a face base primer in my life, so me wanting to buy things like this means I am spending to much time looking at products I want to buy on YouTube. I want to see if using a face primer will actually make my foundation last longer. So since this primer is cheap, I thought it would be a good option to try.

    3. Australis Creme Colour - Dusky Rose
    RRP: $9.95AUD
Where to buy: Priceline, Target, Kmart and Big W

I own one other cream blush and that is from Essence so I want to experiment with them more. I have not really seen any other cream blushes expect from Australis and considering they are only $9.95 I can not wait to get my hands on them. You can use them on your lips and checks which is a double bonus for me.

    4. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Price: Not quite sure of the price cause the price changes daily
Where to buy: Same place as the Too Faced Product

I have the first Naked Palette, so the second palette just feels like a product I have to have since I got the first one. Crazy again I know considering how expensive it is. I got the first Naked Palette from Beauty Bay, I am am confident that they do deliver. The price change everyday depending on how well the Australian Dollar is doing, so order it when the Australian Dollar is doing quite well. You have to pay like $1 something for the exchange rate because it is a European site, but that is no big deal at all. The site also sells OPI, Essie, Too Faced, Stila and a few other well know brands.

    5. Face of Australia Eye Definer Pencil - Brown & Black
    RRP: $7.45AUD
Where to buy: Priceline, Kmart and Big W

I suck at putting eyeliner on, whether it be pencil, gel or liquid. I like to put eyeliner on my lower waterline but can never get it the colour to show up. I have been trying with quite a few other brands and have had an OK turn out. I was looking online at Priceline and saw these. I am yet to pick them up, but considering they are $7.45 they are too cheap to pass up. I want to get it in Brown and Black, cause whenever I buy eyeliner I have to get both colours. Another weird habit of mine.

Well there is my Wish List or July 2012. I hope you enjoyed reading that and let me know of some of the items on your wish list. Mine is massive but didn't want to be writing this blog for a billion hours. Also if anyone know where you can get a good nude eyeliner, let me know as I am on the hunt for one.

    Love you girls!

    Upcoming Blogs and Update Blog

    Hey girls,

So as I am writing this blog post I currently have no followers. Which is a little upsetting but I am going to continue writing blog posts until I gain some followers. I have been seeing that I am getting a few page views every now and then and I think that means that people are looking at my blog but don't follow it. I know my writing is not the best and I can sometimes go off topic and go on about nothing. Leave me some comments and I will be happy to improve in anyway possible.

At the moment I don't have many posts but I am working on doing some more. If you live in Australia then you might remember in January 2011 there were some pretty big floods that happened in Queensland and my house was flooded. Since then my room has not been fixed properly. At the moment we are in the process of fixing it so when it is done i will be posting a blog post of a room tour and makeup collection.

The reason why I am waiting to do certain blog posts is because I want to take pictures of things I haul but want them to have a nice background so I have to finish my room first. When my room is finished I will start doing hauls and some of blog posts.

Please follow this blog and share it to other people who like these types of blogs. I am really wanting to do a giveaway but need some followers. I am currently thinking of doing a giveaway at 10 followers since I have none at the moment. Tell me if you want to see that happen and I will do it.

Thanks for taking your time to look at my blog. If I get any followers you will be truly making my day and I will even follow your blog back if you want.

So I am going to leave it at that, after writing a lot. I hope you have a good day or night whenever you are reading this and I will talk to you later.

Just remember you can contact me through the email mentioned in the description and first blog post.

    Love you girls!

    Favourite Australian Youtube Beauty Gurus

    Hey Girls,

So for today I am just doing a simple blog post, nothing fancy. Since my blog is about all things beauty and sort of resembles a beauty gurus channel on YouTube. If you are not familiar with beauty gurus on YouTube I will tell you a little about them.

On YouTube a person who films beauty videos is considered a beauty guru. On their channel they film different sorts of makeup, beauty and fashion videos. Some of the videos you can expect to see on a beauty channel are hauls of makeup, skincare, fashion and so on. As well as makeup tutorials, advice and tips on makeup and tools. Some fashion videos on how to style different pieces of clothing and a range of different videos.

So since I am an Australian, I am going to list some of my favourite people below. There are so many people on YouTube who film beauty videos but Australians are hard to come across. I hope you check out some of the people I list and be sure to let me know if you like their videos.

I will include their name and their YouTube user name and link.

    Favourite Five || Overall Products

    Hey Girls,

So today I am starting up my Favourite Five series. The Favourite Five series will have a blog post about favourite makeup, skincare and other beauty items. Leave me a comment or send me an email and I will happily do a blog post.

So for today I am going to start the Favourite Five by doing 5 of my most recent favourite makeup items. This changes all the time so you can probably expect a few changes every now and then.

    1. Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder

This powder is one of my all time favourite powders and I will always repurchase it. I have never owned a MAC product but I have seen other people compare this to Mac Mineral Skin Finish Natural. The colour range is not the greatest. If you are very light or have very dark skin you will not find a suitable colour for skin. The product its self, has nothing wrong with it and being only $11.40AUD is very cheap for Australian prices.

    2. Face of Australia Lip Quench Moisturising Lipstick SPF30+

This is a great lipstick, they have a large variety of colours. Some lipsticks have SPF30+ and some don't have any SPF in them at all. There are so many colours that I love but I picked my favourite colour which is Lychee Crush. This lipstick colour has been getting alot of attention on many Australian bloggers as well as many of the Australian Youtube Beauty Community.I picked mine up and feel in love with it. With the price being just $9.45AUD it is a must have product.

    3. Maybelline Dream Liquid Foudation

This foundation has medium to full coverage depending on how you apply it. The price is quite affordable for Australian makeup prices. The price is $21.95AUD. There is a small variety of colours so you could probably find your colour. I have not had any problem with the foundation not lasting throughout the day and I had quite oily skin. I set mine with a powder cause my skin is oily and I also am not a fan of the dewey look.

    4. Maybelline XXL Pro Extensions Mascara

This is my all time favourite mascara. The only mascaras that I really use are from Maybelline. I know I will always be happy with the result and can find them on special most of the time. This mascara has a white base coat before you put on the mascara to make you lashes longer. The mascara does take a little bit to apply so if you are in a rush you might not like this. The mascara can also get a little clumpy which is what I like but might not please everyone. This mascara is around $19.95AUD.

    5. Australis Lip Pencil

This is the only lip liners that I own. There is a large variey of colours and the formula is amazing. I have all the colours expect three of them. I will keep of repurchasing these lip liners and probably wont try any other lip liners. These lip liners keep lipsticks from bleeding. They are only $8.95AUD which is a bargin in my eyes for such a good product.

Well thats the end of this blog, Thank you for reading and please remember to follow this blog so I can have a giveaway.

    Love you girls!
